Sponsorship Coordinator

Identifies, pitches, and secures mission-aligned corporate and local business sponsors for Wokestock, developing compelling partnership packages that offer meaningful visibility while upholding the festival's values of community, activism, and accessibility. They manage sponsor relationships from initial outreach through post-event follow-up, ensuring that all partners receive their agreed-upon benefits and that the festival's integrity and progressive identity remain front and center in every sponsorship arrangement.

After party/venue Coordinator

Sources and secures nearby venues in Allston/Cambridge, etc for Wokestock's after-party programming, negotiating logistics that extend the festival's energy into the evening. They manage all venue relationships, coordinate with performers and attendees on event details, and ensure that the after-party experience feels like a natural and celebratory continuation of the day's music and activism.

Grant Writer

Researches and pursues funding opportunities from foundations, arts organizations, and public agencies whose missions align with Wokestock's commitment to community activism, free public programming, and cultural expression. They craft compelling grant applications that articulate the festival's impact and vision, manage submission deadlines, and track reporting requirements to ensure compliance and build long-term relationships with funders.

Veteran Coordinator

Identifying and qualifying Veterans who may have in intrest in participating with wokestock-Veterans Ceremonies. Liasons with Veteran communities and supports general outreach efforts. May be asked to assist in the planning and execution of wokestock-Veteran ceremonies.

Speaker Coordinator

Recruits and schedules activist speakers, community leaders, and organizers to present during Wokestock's programming, ensuring a diverse range of voices that reflect the inclusive values of the festival. They manage speaker logistics from outreach through day-of execution, including talking points guidance, stage timing, and coordination with the emcee and entertainment team to create a seamless flow between music and advocacy programming.

Organization Outreach

Connects Wokestock with other organization chapters and allied activist groups across Massachusetts, mobilizing their networks to drive festival attendance, volunteerism, and community participation. They serve as a bridge between the festival and the broader statewide organizing community, ensuring that chapters feel invested in and represented at the event while expanding Wokestock's reach beyond the immediate Boston area.

Event Permitting & Compliance Manager

Leads permitting and compliance across agencies (police, fire, public works, health), ensuring all approvals and safety requirements are met.

Accounting & Finances Manager

Manages financial operations, tracks income and expenses, sponsorships, vendor payments and artist fees. Manages the festival budget, process payments to vendors and performers, maintain financial records, and prepare financial reports for organizers. Reconciles bank statements and ensure compliance with nonprofit/event financial requirements.

Security Coordinator

Oversees safety and security planning, staffing, crowd management, and incident response. Coordinates with law enforcement and medical teams.

Medical Coordinator

Plans and oversees medical services, including first aid, staffing, equipment, and coordination for minor incidents through major emergencies.

Hospitality Hero

Primary point of contact for artists and sponsors managing specialized requests, resolving issues, and facilitating access to amenities.

Workshop & Activities Coordinator

Plans and executes workshops and activities, schedules, registration, materials, and on-site logistics.

Flow and Performance Art Coordinator

Books and advances non-musical performers (e.g., acrobatics, dance, flow arts). Acts as liaison, manages riders, safety, insurance, and on-site logistics; coordinates with the Entertainment Director, Stage and Speaker managers.

Live Artists & Art Installations Coordinator

Coordinates visual installations and live artists. Works with the Vendor Coordinator on booth and installation placement.

Creative Lead

Creates visuals for web, print, and social channels to support marketing and on-site communication needs.

Volunteer Coordinator

Builds schedules and manages volunteer coverage across all shifts and functions from setup through breakdown. Primary point of contact for volunteers.

Street Team Coordinator

Executes grassroots and digital outreach, including flyering, postering, and social promotion to drive awareness and attendance.

Social Media Coordinator

Builds and executes Wokestock's digital presence across platforms, crafting compelling content that drives awareness, volunteer recruitment, and community engagement in the lead-up to the festival. They document the event in real time, amplify partner organizations and performers, and help grow the festival's online community in a way that reflects its values of activism, art, and collective action.

Photograhy Coordinator

Leads a team of volunteer photographers to capture the energy, art, and activism of Wokestock, ensuring that both the performances and the community moments are documented with authenticity and care. They manage shot lists, coordinate coverage across both festival days and all stages, and curate a final archive of images that can be used for post-event storytelling, press, and future festival promotion.

Emcee

Keeps the audience engaged between performances by introducing artists, highlighting activist organizations, and reinforcing the festival's spirit of community and resistance. They set the tone across both days, weaving together the music and activism programming in a way that feels cohesive, celebratory, and true to the values of the festival.

Transportation Coordinator

Plans and manages shuttle and vehicle logistics for staff and artists, including scheduling, dispatch, drivers, and rentals for T-stations, airport, hotel, and venues.

University Outreach Coordinator

Builds relationships with academic institutions to increase student and faculty engagement and participation.

Vendor Coordinator

Recruits and onboards food, merchandise, and artisan vendors, ensuring a diverse and community-aligned marketplace that reflects the festival's values. Festival logistics include managing vendor logistics for setup, breakdown, space assignments, permitting requirements, fee structures, and day-of support across both festival days.

Stage Manager

Runs day-of stage operations, maintains show schedule, coordinates performers, and oversees A/V changes to ensure smooth transitions between acts.

Band Wrangler

Sources and advances band acts. Final approvals by the Music Director, Event Director, and Festival Advisor.

DJ EDM & Backing Track Performers Wrangler

Sources and advances DJ's, EDM and Backing track Artists, . Final approvals by the Music Director, Event Director, and Festival Advisor.

Solo Musician Wrangler

Sources and advances solo musicians (folk and acoustic) Final approvals by the Music Director, Event Director, and Festival Advisor.

Sound Production Liaison

The Sound Production Liaison serves as the bridge between Wokestock's production team and the sound engineers, AV vendors, and technical crews responsible for delivering high-quality audio across the stage. They coordinate equipment rentals and sound check schedules, ensuring seamless technical execution for the performer across both days of the festival.
